[2ndsetters] Tongue and Groove on Tuesday July 25 at 8:30pm

OK, kiddies. It's time to dust off those dancing shoes and hop, skip,
and jump on down to the one and only Tongue and Groove (formerly
Mick's Lounge) on Van Ness and Union on Tuesday night for a *free*
show. It's a school night again, so remember: Second Set will be at the 
Tongue and Groove on July 25, 2000 only once in your lifetime!

If you miss this show, you *will* be sorry. Plagues of remorse and
self-doubt, "lost" time and waking up to screams of "Why? WHY!?!" --
only to realize they are your own. My friends, I would not wish these
consequences on Satan himself. But do not despair. Though the signs of
the Most Terrible are plain, there is hope. Come fight the good fight
with us as we use our Ultra Super Powers to bust a funky groove in the
name of good times.

(Besides, folks, this date is fairly important. If you all can show the
love that we've been spoiled with at the last few shows, we'd appreciate
it mightily.)

Now, as some of you might have heard, Wednesday's show at the Red Devil
was the Freakiest Fan Contest. The decision was agony -- we just
couln't narrow it down to one winner. It is therefore my pleasure to
announce a 4-way tie! Elena, Mellisa, Jessica, and Blake. All of these
people displayed outstanding freaky fandom in a crowd chock full of
freaky fans. (That's right, don't think we didn't notice you, yes you,
shaking your thang at least a little, even in your chair as you pretend
to be too interested in that little piece of garbage floating in your
beer...)
