A guayabera is a four-pocket, straight-bottom shirt with two panels of 8
to 10 rows of embroidery down each side of the front. Generally made of
light-colored linen, they are amazingly cool in even the scorching Cuban
sun under which the style was born.
But even the subtle magic of the guayabera isn't enough to tame the L.A.
heat.
So after tonight's SoCal CD release party at the Westend, we're beating
a quick path back to San Francisco's milder climes. To celebrate our
return, we're playing the Hotel Utah. If you don't know where the Utah
is (500 4th St. @Bryant in SF) then call them for directions at
(415)421-8308.
Get there for some opening music and stay for a refreshing dose of
Second Set, including two new songs we weren't able to debut at the
NoCal CD release last Saturday because of time. (What a blast that was,
yeah?)
