[2ndsetters] Friday, April 6 at Hotel Utah with Luce (9pm)

I've got some good news, and I've got some bad news. First, the good
news. And before that, some background info...

There's this city, called San Francisco. And in this city there's a
street called Bryant, and another street called Fourth. And at the point
where these streets meet is a place called the Hotel Utah. The
mathematical proof of this is left as an exercise to the reader. (Call

Now, for the good news. At 9pm on Friday, April 6 the machinery of the
cosmos will do a little jig and the result will be a brilliant display
of sights and sounds, of Second Set and Luce, of frosty beverages and
good friends, epicentered at the very Hotel Utah I just described. Truly
an event to behold, something to tickle the senses and delight the
intellect. Don't miss it.

That's the good news. The bad news is that Gilpo, the little elf that
usually writes the 2ndsetters updates, has quit. He lives in an empty
can of my girlfriend's Queen Helen's Cocoa Butter Skin Creme and comes
out to help around the house in exchange for string cheese. But tonight,
when Gilpo came out to write this email, he saw that I'm fresh out of
string cheese, gave me an icy stare, and disappeared in a puff of
foul-smelling smoke.

So please, if you have any string cheese, bring some to the show. Maybe,
if Gilpo's calmed down by then, I can get him to come back and keep
writing the 2ndsetters emails. I hope so, anyway.
