For those of you 2ndSetters living under a rock, let me remind you it's
summertime! This means that you have to wake up before 6pm on weekends
and do sunny outdoor stuff with friends and family.

Sound painful? Don't know if you can rise before the moon? Think your
inner working will go all awry if you mess with your sleep schedule?
Well! We've got just what you need -- a Second Set show, at Kelly's
Mission Rock, outdoors, this Saturday July 15, at 12pm, with Five 7 to

Just think: the sun shines in your window at 11:30, but you've only had
13 hours of sleep. You roll over to catch five or six more hours,
humming Second Set songs softly to yourself, to bring pleasant
dreams. Suddenly, you sit up, wide awake. "Today's the Mission Rock
show!" You shove, call, spank, and otherwise wake your partner and
friends to remind them before showering, dressing, and bussing,
carpooling, hitchhiking, or driving to the show.

You arrive just as Second Set begins a jam-packed session of that juicy
music you know and love. You listen in the sun with good food, good 
beer, and good friends. At one point, you get up and dance. Afterwards,
the band Five 7 takes the stage. They're excellent. You go home happily
buzzed and slightly tanned. And no matter what you do the rest of the
day and into the night, you hum a little bit of Second Set before
falling deep into sweetest slumber. Sunday at 11:30? You catch up on
that sleep you've been missing...
