About this website

This is the new version of the Second Set Site. We were going to wait to make it public until the whole thing was done, but that would take forever. It's pretty much a one-man crew (mds.)

Besides that, we lost the website to script-kiddie crackers right after we released the first version. (See the detailed autopsy for more on that.) What you see now is a complete rewrite.

So instead we're doing a phased approach where we put new stuff up as it's ready. We already have various ideas for how the site will look, and we'll make these available before we decide so you can look at them and tell us what you think.

We also have some pretty ambitious plans for the different sections of the site. There'll be a Gig Browser under the dates page where you can look up and comment on any gig, past or future. You'll be able to search for gigs by date, venue/location, and hopefully by setlist, too! The songs page will have some info about all our songs, including lyrics, dates, and when and where we play them live.

The development for all this stuff will take time, but I'm pretty excited about the ideas I have. Please let us know what you think about it. Send comments on, ideas for, or ramblings about this site to webmaster@2ndset.net and see if we don't listen to what you have to say.
